Sodalite, Analcime
This is the flip side of the three inch specimen from the Taseq Slopes,Ilimaussaq Complex, Greenland. The sodalite glows a bright reddish orange. Analcime glows a bright blue. Minor amounts of tugtupite glow a dull red. The bright green glow is an unkown uranium ion activated mineral. The sodalite in this specimen is quite tenebrescent. When exposed to ultraviolet radiation, the sodalite will change to a purple daylight color. It remains that color for a few days, then fade to a dull white
