Analcime, Sodalite
This is a three inch specimen from the Taseq Slopes,Ilimaussaq Complex, Greenland. Tugtupite glows a bright pink red. Sodalite glows a dull reddish orange. Analcime glows a bright blue. The bright green glow is an unknown uranium ion activated mineral.
The sodalite in this specimen is tenebrescent. The rock will change to a purple color under natural light when exposed to ultraviolet radiation. After a few days, the purple fades to a dull white.
