Old Stope

This specimen was one of two I bought from a rockhound in the late '50s. I was about ten years old at the time. Rock shops were common at the time. And many of them had lots of fluorescent material from Franklin, NJ. I saved my money and bought a small wattage incadescent bulb type UV lamp. It excited about four square inches at a time. I've given that lamp to my son.

This specimen isn't unique or showy. But it's a neat historical artifact from my past.
