Smallest Honeybee

Is this the smallest honeybee?

I found the smallest honeybee, I've ever seen. It's less than 3/8" long. What do you think? Have you ever seen one this small?

That's a metric scale in the photo. It's as small as the smallest natural pollinator in my area. Compare this bee to the different bee sizes I've measured throughout a season.

I didn't even recognize this bee, as a honeybee, until it went into my hives. I thought it was a native pollinator. It's about 1/3 the size of a normal worker bee. Or slightly less than the length of a normal bee's abdomen.

I guess there are small cell bees and some very small cell bees :>)
